Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has been asked to apologize to Nigerians as his administration has been largely responsible for the socio-economic woes that have bedevilled the country in recent years.
Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Public Communication and Orientation Sunday Dare disclosed this on Monday in a post on his official “X” handle. Mr Dare claimed that successive administrations struggled to rectify the damage left by Obasanjo, noting that President Tinubu is now making significant progress in addressing these issues.
He said the former president has lost any moral authority to criticize the current government, stressing that he should apologize to Nigerians for failing to lay the necessary infrastructure for the country’s progress. He further added that Democracy suffered mortal wounds under his watch, only worsened by his obsession with an ill-fated third-term bid.
