“With these corrections in place, the APC is now fully prepared to contest in the February 2025 Osun LGA Polls in Ifedayo,”Hon. Bamigboye noted.

The party chieftain assured voters that the APC is committed to transforming the Area Council into a model society and called on supporters to continue backing the party and its candidates.

OSSIEC had earlier raised concerns over the improper nomination of candidates by three political parties.

The OSSIEC chairman, Hashim Abioye revealed that the political parties affected included the All Progressives Congress(APC), Allied People’s Movement,(APM), and Action People’s Party(APP).

Hashim Abioye, while presenting the report of the commission’s verification committee to journalists in Osogbo on Wednesday, said nearly all the 18 political parties that nominated candidates committed one infraction or the other.

According to him, discrepancies were found between the names of candidates submitted by these parties and the names on their official nomination forms.
