Former US President and current presidential candidate, Donald Trump, has survived another assassination attempt .
This incident occurred at his golf resort in Palm Beach, Florida, where gunshots were heard, and a person of interest has been detained along with a weapon.
According to local law enforcement officials, Trump was playing golf when the incident happened, and he was several hundred yards away from the gunman. The Secret Service agents noticed a rifle barrel sticking through a fence and engaged the gunman, who fled but was later caught in another county.
Trump confirmed in an email to his supporters that he is safe and well, saying, “There were gunshots in my vicinity, but before rumors start spiraling out of control, I wanted you to hear this first: I AM SAFE AND WELL!” . He also stated that nothing will slow him down and he will never surrender.
