Inspector-General of Police, IGP Egbetokun Olukayode, on Tuesday, 10th September 2024 at the Goodluck Jonathan Peacekeeping Hall, Force Headquarters, Abuja, decorated newly promoted senior olice officers with their new ranks amidst cheers from their families, friends, and professional colleagues.
The promotion included the elevation of 8 Commissioners of Police (CP)to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG)and 15 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCP) to the substantive rank of CP.
The newly decorated officers from the rank of CP to AIG included the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mustapha Adegoke Fayoade.
The decoration ceremony marks a milestone in AIG Fayoade’s illustrious career.His leadership has been instrumental in maintaining law and order in Lagos State.
The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, congratulated Fayoade on his well-deserved promotion, noting that it reflects the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance.
AIG Fayoade is an illustrious son of Ila-Orangun town, Osun State.
