The Civil Society Organisation on Community Advancement and Humanitarian Empowerment Initiative(CSCHEI)has called for the review of the Presidential committee on Food Security to make agriculture more attractive for Nigerians and reduce food scarcity in the country.
The Director General of CSCHEI, Dr Kunle Yusuf made the call in Abuja, during the inauguration of CSCHEI Advisory Council and National Project and Programmes Committee.
Dr Yusuf, while speaking on national issues, also called for the review of tax reform policy to avoid double taxation.
He said the inauguration of the committee was to support government to achieve SDG Agenda, COP28 Climate Change recommendations, Great Green Wall Strategic Policies and National Development Plan Components.
The Senior special adviser to the president on SDGs Mrs Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire Said government would continue to work with organised civil society organisations such as CSCHEI to end extreme poverty, safeguard plants and ensure peace and security by 2030.
