The health sector in Lagos needs additional thirty thousand medical doctors to function effectively.
This is according to the State Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi during the ongoing 2024 Clean-Air Forum in Lagos.
Professor Abayomi said that the lack of medical doctors have continued to overstretch the available manpower in the health sector.
He noted that brain drain has contributed largely to the disturbing situation.
