-Comrade Ayodele Agboola, Chairman of Orisun Igbomina Broadcasting Network(OIBN), has been honored with an Award of Excellence for his outstanding contributions to the growth and development of Ila-Orangun town in Osun State.
The award ceremony was put together by Ojude Oba Big Brothers, a social-cultural group based in Ila, as part of the activities marking the 2024 edition of Ojude Oba Day. The event took place on Monday, June 17, in the ancient town.
Comrade Agboola was recognized for his tireless efforts in promoting the growth of Ila-Orangun through support for vulnerable persons in the territory and beyond.
According to the group, the media entrepreneur’s contributions have had a significant impact on Ila, and his dedication to the growth and development of the town has not gone unnoticed.
“The Award of Excellence is a testament to Comrade Agboola’s commitment to excellence and his passion for the development of Ila-Orangun.
“He has been a driving force behind several initiatives aimed at promoting the town’s culture, heritage, and economic growth.” the Association noted in a statement shortly after presentation of the award plaque to representatives of the philanthropist.
Reacting to the development, Comrade Agboola expressed his gratitude to Ojude Oba Big Brothers for the recognition, saying, “I am humbled and honored to receive this award. We remain committed to promoting the growth and development of Ila-Orangun and its people.”
The award ceremony was attended by dignitaries from across the state, including traditional leaders, government officials, and community leaders.
