Former Sokoto State governor Aminu Tambuwal has called on President Bola Tinubu to refrain from distancing himself from the administration of predecessor Muhammadu Buhari.
Tambuwal stressed that Tinubu should instruct his ministers and aides to stop criticizing Buhari’s government.
During the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders meeting in Sokoto State on Sunday, Tambuwal made these statements.
He argued that the All Progressives Congress (APC) lacks strategies for national security and is primarily focused on seizing power.
Tambuwal mentioned, “Instead of highlighting Buhari’s failures, Tinubu, who has benefited significantly from the APC, should not allow criticism from his aides and ministers.”
He advised Tinubu to focus on governing Nigeria diligently and not allow narrow-mindedness within his government to hinder efforts towards national security, unity, and development.
Tambuwal encouraged PDP supporters in Sokoto State to remain steadfast and work towards better political cohesion and understanding.
“Through determination and dedication to a noble cause, we can bring about positive change in our nation. Let unity be the foundation of our progress as a party,” Tambuwal added.
