The Tripartite Committee on Minimum Wage has reportedly postponed its meeting indefinitely.
It followed Tuesday’s meeting, where the Federal Government added N3,000 to its proposed N57,000 minimum wage, making it N60,000.
The Organised Labour again rejected the fresh offer and made a fresh demand of 494,000 naira, which is N3000 lower than what it proposed last week. This comes three days before the May 31 deadline the labour unions gave to the government to conclude the negotiations.
