Sports Minister, John Enoh has held talks with former Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro over a possible return to the team.
A reliable source within the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, revealed that Enoh has already established contact with Peseiro’s representatives over his possible re-engagement as Super Eagles gaffer.
Peseiro is also said to be open to the idea of returning to the position.
“The sports minister is in talks with Peseiro’s representatives, he wants him to return.
“Peseiro is open to returning too. The situation will become clearer in the coming days,” the source disclosed.
The Portuguese led the Super Eagles to a second-place finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
The 63-year-old left the post at the end of February following the expiration of his contract.
