Southern Senators Elect Olubiyi Fadeyi As Assistant Secretary

The Southern Senators Forum, comprising senators from the South West, South East and South South regions of Nigeria, has announced the election of Distinguished Senator Ajagunla Olubiyi Fadeyi representing Osun Central Senatorial District as the Assistant Secretary of the Forum’s Executives.

The vice-chairman of the Senate Committee on Trade and Investment, Senator Ajagunla Fadeyi, has a wealth of experience and is known for his dedication to public service. With a proven track record of advocating for the interests of the good people of Osun Central senatorial District, his election is seen as a significant step towards enhancing southern representation at the federal level.

The Southern Senators Forum consists of distinguished senators from various states within the South West, South East and South South regions. This regional collaboration aims to ensure harmonious working relationship, cooperation and development of the southern region as a whole.

The newly elected executives of the Southern Senators Forum are as follows:

  1. Chairman: Senator Tokunbo Abiru, Lagos East, APC
  2. Vice Chairman: Senator Victor Umeh, Anambra Central, Labour Party
  3. Secretary: Senator Mpigi, Rivers South, PDP
  4. Assistant Secretary: Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi, Osun Central, PDP
  5. Treasurer: Senator Kenneth Eze, Ebonyi Central, APC
  6. Publicity Secretary: Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong, Cross River South, APC

These federal lawmakers are committed to advancing the interests of their constituencies and the southern region as a whole. Considering their diverse backgrounds and wealth of experiences, the Southern Senators Forum (SSF) is poised to champion the development and welfare of the southern region in national discourse and decision-making.

The South-Western States encompass Osun, Oyo, Ogun, Lagos, Ondo and Ekiti states. The South-East states comprise Abia, Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi and Imo states, while the South-South hosts Rivers, Cross Rivers, Edo, Akwa-Ibom, Delta and Bayelsa states.

The Southern Senators Forum extends its gratitude to all Senators who participated in the elections and acknowledges the dedication and commitment of its members. Together, they will work tirelessly to create positive change and progress for the South West, South East and South South regions.
