The House of Representatives has referred a member Alex Ikwechegh to the Ethics and Privileges Committee, for further legislative action.
It follows a motion of privilege by the House Leader, Julius Ihonvbere, at plenary today.
Recall that Ikwechegh representing Aba South and North Federal Constituency, Abia State, was seen in a video on Sunday, assaulting an e-hailing driver and threatening to make him disappear without consequences.
The House said Rep Ikwechegh’s conduct has brought the Green Chamber into ridicule.
