The Osun State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has slammed the All Progressives Congress (APC) for its recent comments over the recent procurement of 31 tractors by the state government to boost farming activity.
Reacting to the APC’s comments, PDP’s Deputy Director of Media and Publicity, James Bamgbose, described the opposition party’s statement as a “demonstration of indolence and lack of understanding” of basic governance.
Bamgbose emphasized that Governor Adeleke’s administration is committed to delivering on its 5-point campaign agenda, evident in the outstanding achievements in all sectors.
He criticized the APC for its failure to add tractors to the state’s inventory during its 12-year tenure, despite selling off tractors bought by the previous PDP administration.
The PDP challenged the APC to explain its “poor performance in agriculture and food security”.
Bamgbose noted that the APC’s comments on budgetary provisions showed its ignorance, as the government is open to supplementary budgets to fund remaining projects.
