NELFUND Scheme: Federal Government Pays Tuition Fees for 20,000 Students

The Federal Government has announced that it has paid the tuition fees of 20,000 students directly to their institutions under the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) scheme.

This revelation was made by Akintunde Sawyer, Managing Director and CEO of NELFUND, during a summit and sensitization program organized by the National Association of Nigerian Students in Rivers State.

As of August 22, the NELFUND scheme has recorded significant milestones, including over 280,000 student registrations, approximately 256,000 completed applications, and tuition fees paid for 20,000 students in six universities

The NELFUND scheme is one of the current administration’s programs aimed at making education more accessible and affordable for Nigerian students.
