The Osun Police Command has arrested two suspects, Yahaya Oluwafemi (27) and Olusoji Olawale (28), for unlawful possession of firearms and membership of an unlawful society.
On July 13, 2024, detectives from the Prompt Response Unit (PRU) raided black spots and criminal hideouts in Ile-Ife and its environs, leading to the arrest of the suspects. Two locally made pistols were recovered from them.
During interrogation, Yahaya Oluwafemi confessed to being a member of the unlawful society known as ‘Ayee’ Confraternity and a former political thug.
The Public Relations Officer of the Osun Police Command, SP. Yemisi Opalola told newsmen in Osogbo on Friday that the suspects will be charged to court after the conclusion of investigations.
