Margaret Adeseye, the Director, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, has disclosed that the fire that engulfed the Christ Embassy Church located at Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos has been curtailed.
Several media platforms across the country reported earlier on Sunday that the building caught fire.
An eyewitness confirmed this to Orisun Igbomina 102.1FM correspondent. Multiple videos on social media have also shown the massive edifice being razed by fire.
The fire reportedly caused significant damage to the church property, sending shock waves throughout Lagos and beyond.
In a communique shortly after the fire was put out, Adeseye noted that no casualties have been reported.
