River State Governor Decries Refusal Of LGA Chairmen To Vacate Offices

Rivers State Governor Simi Fubara has decried the refusal of some outgoing Local Government Council Chairmen to hand over to the heads of Local Government Administration.

Governor Fubara said this while addressing newsmen after a Security Council meeting at the Government House, Port Harcourt.

He said the attitude portrayed by the chairmen as part of the antics of the enemies of the state to end the peace being enjoyed in Rivers State.

Fubara further pointed out alleged plan by some politicians to arrest his supporters, but assured of his readiness to protect those who are standing on the side of truth.

The governor however advised those constituting violence in the state to desist forth with, and assured that the peace of the state would continue to be the priority of his administration.
