The Osun State Police Command has arrested a middle-aged suspect, Yusuf Adam over vandalization of transformer cables in Ede town.
According to reports made available to Orisun Igbomina 102.1FM by the Police Command, the incident happened on Sunday 2nd June, 2024 at about 11:45pm.
Information was received by operatives of Police Divisional Headquarters (Division B)in Ede that a young man later identified as Yusuf Adamu, who hails from Kebbi State, was seen moving at night with cables which were suspected to have been removed from an electricity transformer.
Upon receipt of this information, a team of Operatives swung into action and arrested the said suspect who was still in possession of the exhibit. He has confessed to the crime. Meanwhile, investigation is still ongoing.
The suspect will be charged to court upon conclusion of the investigation.
