Traders at the Igbona shopping center in Osogbo and Ita-Obajoko market in Ila-Orangun town have lamented over worsening economic situation occasioned by skyrocketing inflation.
The traders said they could no longer stock their shops and homes with foodstuff, and lamented that the rising cost of goods, services, food items were affecting the general cost of living.
A trader at Igbona market square, Rukayat Adedeji, who spoke to our correspondent, said she could no longer buy goods because the amount had tripled.
Tunrayo Oladimeji, a shopper at the popular Ita-Obajoko market situated in the heart of Ila, pleaded that the government should fix basic infrastructure and implement policies that could enhance the standard of living of Nigerians.
She further urged Nigerians to seek God’s intervention as the situation appears to be worsening daily.
