Stakeholders in rural areas of Rivers State have expressed concerns over the deplorable state of their schools, lamenting the lack of classrooms and insufficient number of teachers.
High Chief, Eze Ndudiri Azuatalam Onwa na Agbara Oha 1 of Ogida community in Etche local government, who spoke to newsmen on Thursday, said he took up the responsibility of recruiting and paying public school teachers in his domain after he discovered the shortfall of personnel.
Residents have urged Governor Simi Fubara to intervene and support the students, since they are the leaders of tomorrow.
