The Ministry of Health in Rivers State alongside the Nigerian Medical Association, has shut down two hospitals in Bonny Local Government Area.
It comes days after Divine Love Hospital was sealed off in Rumuodara, Obio/Akpor LGA. In a joint press briefing on Wednesday, the State Commissioner for Health, Adaeze Oreh, said plans are underway to also inaugurate an Anti-Quackery Committee.
The State Government has harped on the need for registration of medical facilities in Rivers following the recent controversy surrounding the death of a patient at Divine Love Hospital.
