Former Senate spokesperson and one of the founding fathers of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ayogu Eze is dead.
The influential politician represented Enugu North Senatorial District in the National Assembly between 2007 and 2015.
He reportedly succumbed to a strange ailment having been down with excruciating agony in an undisclosed hospital in Lagos State for some time now.
Information reaching OIFM correspondent in Enugu has it that the erstwhile parliamentarian could not attend his daughter’s wedding few months ago due to his poor health situation.
Eze had defected to the ruling APC to contest the governorship position in Enugu State after the PDP denied him the party’s ticket following the exit of Governor Sullivan Chime.
Senator Ayogu Eze died at the age of 66.
