Unknown gunmen have invaded the residence of the Chu Buh, Mr Mondeh Toma Chagga and killed the police officer attached to the monarch and his rifle stolen.
The gunmen stormed the residence of the traditional ruler in Nakere, Wamba LGA of Nasarawa State in the late hours of Sunday April 21.
The monarch was said to have escaped by whisker. His aide, Kefas Tari Shehu alongside his wife, Patience Tari however were kidnapped and whisked to unknown location by the assailants.
A residence of the community who confirmed the incident said it occurred around 10:30pm on Sunday.
He added that the Men of the Nigerian Military arrived the Buh-speaking community after the assailants had fled.
The kidnappers have reached out to the family on Monday morning and demanded a whopping ₦20 million ransom for their release.
