President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of seven professionals to the board of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Tinubu approved the appointments to advance the commission’s core mandate of developing and regulating a capital market that is dynamic, fair, transparent, and efficient.
Mairiga Aliyu Katuka was appointed as the chairman, while Emomotimi Agama was appointed as the Director General.
Three executive commissioners were appointed, Frana Chukwuogor (Legal and Enforcement), Bola Ajomale, (Operations) and Samiya Hassan Usman (Corporate Services).
Two non-executive commissioners were appointed to complete the list, namely: Lekan Belo and Kasimu Garba Kurfi.
