National Examinations Council (NECO) has again postponed the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) into federal unity colleges and the federal government academy, Suleja, Abuja.
NECO on January 15th, announced that registration has commenced for this year’s NCEE.
The exam body said the registration fee is N4,750, adding that the examination will be conducted on April 20.
The NCEE has now been shifted till June 1, 2024.
In a statement on Tuesday, Azeez Sani, the acting director of NECO digital communication, also said the entrance examination for gifted and talented children into Federal Government Academy, Suleja, earlier fixed on May 4, 2024, would now be held on May 25, 2024.
Sani revealed that the rescheduling of the two examinations was due to the low enrollment of candidates.
He also urged candidates, parents, guardians, schools and relevant stakeholders to take note of the new dates.
“The rescheduling of the two examinations was due to low enrolment of candidates,” the statement reads.
“All candidates, parents, guardians, schools and relevant stakeholders are therefore enjoined to take note of the new dates for the examinations.
“The registration of candidates will continue till the new dates for the examinations.”
This is the fourth time the exam body has rescheduled its annual exam since 2021.
