A front-line member of the People’s Democratic Party, in Boripe North LCDA of Osun State, Hon. Abiodun Ajayi(Oluomo and Sons)has said that contrary to a rumour making the rounds, there is no candidate already endorsed to hoist the flag of the party during the next local council polls in the area.
According to a statement signed and issued by Hon. Abiodun Ajayi, a copy of which was made available to Orisun Igbomina 102.1FM on Sunday, the stakeholder said: “The PDP has not endorsed any consensus candidate among all aspirants even as claimed by some elements of disunity among the party members.
“I challenge anyone claiming the party leadership has anointed him or her to come out with concrete evidence.
“All candidates are to test their popularity at the primary elections and not through any backdoor arrangement.
“It is on this note that we call on party members to ignore any information regarding anyone parading himself or herself as the anointed candidate of the party in Boripe North LCDA of Osun State.”
Hon. Ajayi further noted that the Chairman of the PDP in Osun State, Hon. Sunday Bisi has assured all aspirants in the forthcoming LGA elections of a credible, free, fair, transparent and inclusive process.
