King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall’s former lead drummer, Ayankunle Ayanlowo, has revealed more about his alleged 32-year nasty experience working for the star artiste.
In a fresh allegation, Ayanlowo claimed that all he got per show as lead drummer was eight thousand naira. He added that the bills for hotel accommodation each time they had a show were settled by him. This, he alleged, also applied to fellow band boys.
Ayanlowo alleged that from October 2022 to January 1st 2023, before he left the band, they had 46 shows and he was only paid N370,000 for the 46 shows, amounting to N8,000 per show.
He estimated his cost of living per day when they had shows at between N18,000 and N20,000 because he traveled from his Ibadan base to wherever they were having shows and took care of his accomodations from his own pocket, yet he was paid N8,000 at the end of the day.
“From October 2022 to January 1, 2023, we had 46 shows. What Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde gave me for all the shows was N370,000 which is equivalent to N8,000 per show. I used to travel from Ibadan to Lagos for the shows, lodged in a hotel which was about 10k per night, fed myself twice a day. A plate there is about 3k not to talk of my transportation.
Everything was a shortage for me. I was able to manage myself because sometimes, some fans sprayed me money during the performance.
